DJ36 or EXP1 (Basel '16)

Taking into account the fact a WG DD40 green roman dial is on its way, would you recommend I keep this 4 week old EXP1 or flip it to acquire a bnib DJ36 blue dial?

Since you have a dd40 on it's way go with the exp1. At least that's what I would do.

I vote Explorer. That will make a great pair with the DD!

Explorer could be the perfect everyday (hate to say) beater watch.

I'd keep the Explorer in this case.

I use the date function frequently so as much as I like the Exp for every day wear it is DJ for me. If it will be part of a rotation with the DD and others then go explorer.

Honestly I love both probably equally.... If u get the DD40 especially in WG then I don't think your DJ will get any wrist time! So in that case you may consider enjoying the Explorer! Otherwise I love the DJ36!

Man that's a tough one. Those are both gorgeous. Just seeing them next to one another though, I think I'd end up with the datejust! Can't go wrong with either though.

Easy choice. You keep the Explorer. What an excellent pair: an interesting precious metal piece and a basic yet versatile stainless steel piece.

To me it doesn't make sense to sell EXP 1 and buy DJ if the WG DD is coming. I will do the opposite.

Thank you everyone for your input. I do love that deep blue dial on the DJ36 but I've decided the EXP1 will stay put until the WG DD40 arrives.

I would go with the date just, classic dimensions, instantly recognizable, not as sporty as EXP but just as worthy as a daily...

Definitely the Explorer, since you have the day-date beauty on the way. The Explorer is a very easy wearing watch and would provide a nice lower key alternative to the DD. Please post pictures of the DD when it arrives. Cheers!
