Where do you position your watch?

I've always wondered where on the wrist the watch should be positioned.

This is how I wear my watches



Is there a rule? Or just personal preference? I guess it's also to do with how fit the watch is. I prefer snug fit.

Personal preference. I would wear it more closer to fist

With bracelet, I would wear it loose. At least index finger is able to insert under the clasp when my hand is not swollen due to lifting or some other reasons. I do miss my Rolex's glidelock!

With leather or rubber, I would wear it more tight since I could easily adjust.

I wear mine kind of snug and right above my wrist bone.

The diver has a thick and hard rubber which might look a bit odd when wearing it loose

First pic as you can see, it was kind of odd but i felt more comfortable wearing it this way

Second pic was tight and looked way better imho. But I felt very uncomfortable and sweat a lot

I wear mine behind the wristbone so when I raise my palm the crown doesn't touch the back of my hand. I was wearing my 44 on my right wrist yesterday and the rather sharp crown was cutting into my wrist so won't do that again.

Where I wear it... (where it ends up)... and where I push it up to for a photo generally represent both the options above in pics

To me pushing it up to the wrist bone is the same as dressing it up for the pic. The watch equivalent of saying"cheese"

tight and above the wrist, this usually avoids betting scratches if you have a good wrist awareness

Mine tend to wear wherever they end up. Especially depending on if I'm wearing a dress shirt, french cuffs, short sleeves etc. I don't like it high up on the wrist where it brushes against my wrist bone.

Just slightly on or above (on the elbow side) of the pisiform bone.

Same here

The larger the watch the more important this becomes for me

Mine always shifts up, down, to the left, the to the right (sounds like a dance). I just keep them loose on my wrist since it feels more comfy that way.

Bracelet watches I usually wear them a bit loose , where as the starp ones at the wrist bone
