Panerai Manufacture Visit in Neuchatel

@TEMPUSOPERANDI - Instagram

Following on from my visit to the Panerai Mahon Copa del Rey - Classic Yachts Challenge (http://www.network54.com/Forum/353391/thread/1441318201) last year, this year I was invited to see the Panerai Manufacture in Neuchatel which I just wanted to share briefly. Unfortunately i am not able to share actual photos inside the manufacture but hopefully it will still be quite interesting. There was also a watch making course where we worked on the P2003 skeleton movement!

Day 1:
We were picked up from Geneva Airport and whisked straight to our hotel in Neuchatel which was just under 2 hours or so drive. We stayed at the Hotel Palafitte http://www.palafitte.ch/en/home.html which was a really cool hotel as you can see from the photos, the rooms were atop the actual lake so I guess was fitting considering Panerai's marine history!

Once I got into my room, there was a small gift and the itinerary waiting for me:

For dinner we were taken to La Maison du Prussien https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restau...Neuchatel.html which was a fabulous restaurant, some obligatory watch photos:

Day 2:

The next day we headed to the manufacture, which was a short drive. The building is very modern with the latest in sustainable technology with minimizing the carbon emissions at the top of its priorities! Good to see Panerai also considering the environment!

Entrance:

Just below the entrance, the LOGO and my 233:

Inside there was a massive Panerai clock that everyone wanted for their homes and a small diagram of the layout of the manufacture:

After the introductions, we were taken to the meeting room where the head of the manufacture spoke to us about the brand, history, the future and some video materials.

Study material:

For lunch a Panerai menu and wrist shots, what a beauty!:

Watch Making experience!

My desk:

The movement we were going to work on, a Skeleton P2003/10

Was fairly complicated but the size of the movement helped alot! Very well built I have to say!

Thank you for reading everyone!!
