Funny wife and watch/Daytona story....

So, my wife has NEVER cared about watches at all!! Thank God btw! Ill ask her about one and her response is always, "its just another silver watch" (regardless if its a Daytona, BLNR, or AP). So today she comes home and says hey can I start wearing that one you have with the white dial where you can time stuff. I think is a Daytona, she says. Now she has my attention!! I ask why. She tells me she ate lunch with a friend who turns out has the prior model 116520 with white dial. My wife tells her, Hey my husband just got one of those but his has a black "ring" around his. Her snobby friend chimes in, Oh there is no way Rick has that watch, you'd have to be a US Senator or Billionaire to have that watch. At my wifes request, I text her a pic of my 116500 white dial, and her B-word friend was stunned saying how in the world did he get that? Her AD told her its a few years to get one. Anyhow, here is the bad part- My wife says," I took it out of the safe and have been wearing it today but its way too big, How can we make it fit me"? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

The answer is very bad. I told her to go on the Tag Heuer website... They have tons of really pretty chronographs AND they are ladies models...

Similar story here. My wife told/ asked me to size my 116520 for her wrist when my 116500 comes in. She likes the white dial. I thought she was trying reverse psychology or was joking, but no she keeps mentioning it. I should never have got her a Date just, its awoken her inner Wis.

That's what you get for not having it on your wrist where it belongs.

uh oh, you are screwed! When I got my 116520, the previous owner was a lady, so it needed a lot of links added before I could put it on. So on the way home I gave it to my GF to wear it while we went into a store to get something. I turned around at every sound I heard and she kept saying "I knew you'd turn around, the watch is fine". Well 10 minutes into it she goes "I like this watch...". Yeah no kidding, its sweet!

I'm sorry for your loss ... Hopefully it won't get too many scratches, from going in and out of the purse.

Yep. You'll need your own Daytona with a ceramic bezel now...which means PLATINUM!

Please run and Fix that.

All I can see is the watching rolling onto a hard surface while on the wrist and cracking the ceramic bezel...

and thank god, she wasn't talking about the Platinum Daytona...

Atleast she will appreciate the rarity of the 116500 when she wears it thanks to her friend. Just let her wear it and occasionally express how sad you are that you are unable to wear it since it is not sized for you. You will get huge points. Feel free to use them how you wish.
