Pepsi Bezel Insert non OEM

If this is not allowed to be discussed as it uses a non OEM part, please delete and accept my apologies.
I see that there are several options on a popular auction website offering non OEM Pepsi inserts - I know to buy OEM and I shall, however it shall be many months until I am in either NY or London, I do not particularly wish to pay the $250+ prices I am seeing online when I know that one would cost me $70 or so from an RSC - has anyone tried one of these? How was the quality, fit, ease of switch etc.? Thank you for any help.

I bought one a month or two ago. Looked good in the pictures but when I got it on the watch it sat more shallow in the bezel producing a noticable "lip" from insert to bezel. Also the font seemed larger than an OEM piece. 95% of people won't be able to tell, but I could and had to scrap it and get the OEM part to appease my OCD ha ha!

I'm thinking that I shall try one to see how much I like the Pepsi, really like the coke insert. Do you flip the bezel off with a credit card or other plastic item? Also did you reinsert insert whilst the bezel was off, or snap insert into place with the bezel reinstalled? Thanks

Following some YouTube directions I used a dull knife wrapped in tape to get the bezel off the watch, then my thumbs to get the insert out of the bezel. If I remember correctly I put the new insert back in after the bezel was back on the watch (that way you can match up the insert triangle with the corresponding hour marker when the bezel is in a "clicked" position).

Are we talking about ceramic or metal insert?

I have to agree that sticking to OEM is the best course.

I'm not saying $250 is nothing, but it doesn't seem like much in context, especially when considering OEM bracelet prices.
