How about looking forward to seeing the pic's from your scenario

I realized I became a watch geek when I saw that I looked forward to giving them their weekly baths. My wife tells me I talk to them while doing so, the scary part is, I don't see the problem with that

You know you're a geek when you take pics of your watches, and you take them to the camera store and have them printed at 8x12 and framed so you can hang them in your room or at the office. (I do that)

Taking pic's of your watches, then setting them as wallpaper on you office computers.
then, the staff doesn't even make the connection that it is the same watch on my wrist. Those poor fools.

Getting the smug grin on your face when a non-WIS says "You paid HOW MUCH for that watch This only applies when the person is a pest and won't leave you alone. Then it's always an inflated amount.

You spend all your time looking for what watches people are wearing in movies, on TV, and while at dinner listening to the band.......

I have a friend who can't afford much in the way of watches yet, but told me recently that he found himself looking for what watches were in movies instead of what cars......he has it bad.

For me, it's considering spending many thousands on a trip to Europe to visit watch manufacturers (I would have done the TZ tour this year if we hadn't purchased the wife a new BMW).

... someone's having a heart attack in front of you and the first thought that crosses your mind is, "Time to send him in for regulation".

Someone's having a heart attack in front of you and you check to see if it's worth going after his watch before they cart him off.

No, Ed, I believe that just makes you a New Yorker. If you were on the other coast, you'd be going after his Air Jordans (or whatever they call them these days).

Like I read somewhere before, the BIGGEST tell tale sign you are a bonafied watch geek...........Your wife is asleep, you have the whole internet to yourself and rather than look at porn or sports, you are looking at watch pics.

That sums it up pretty good
had a vision, for some reason someone is searching my harddrive when I'm dead & gone, and all the find is work, and thousands of images of watches...

The watches can tend to cost more than a girlfriend.

That happed ed here last summer. I guy crashed his plane into the bay right after taking off from Bader field. When his wife went to claim his property, his DD was missing. The paramedics said it was not on him when they recovered him, yet a photo in the local newspaper shows it big as day on his wrist as he was being pulled from the water

Yeah, guess who got canned Yet, the watch somehow miraculously re-appeared in lew of the creep getting locked-up. The best part was, it was a girl. Usually you expect guys to do something like that.

Both of those things are surprising, one that they admitted to it and got canned and that it was a girl. Weird world we live in.

They had to admitt to it, they were the only people in control of the body from the crash site to the ER. No matter what, she had to get canned for being a thief, but it's amazing what people will do to avoid jail. The worst part is, the wife was willing to pay her for it. The piolt was a surgeon and would fly from here to the hospitals in Philly where he worked. They were loaded. The value of it meant nothing to the wife, it was an anniversary gift she had given him and she just wanted him to be buried with it on.
