So I tried out a 39mm explorer at the AD a few weeks ago and to my surprise I was not a fan of it. The matte dial just didn't do it for me as much as the glossy dial of the 36mm version.

After much research I have found some references to a gloss dial version of the 214270. There are a few dials on chrono-shop. I was under the understanding that all 214270's had matte dials. Is this a reality? Are there both glossy and matte versions?
