Well, I haven't bought one, I'm not allowed.

The time is different on both, but that's not the right answer.

Cruz is going in the right direction.

By process of elimination that makes the right one with the sapphire? ;)

We have a winner

The one on the right is indeed a new 372 sapphire. Good to see OP haven't changed anything else externally so it still looks like the original

No hard feeling but the plexi on the left looks cleaner on the edges

both beautiful pieces...my personal preference would be sapphire too, I don't think my lifestyle could handle plexiglass....yet.

Now that you're convinced, when can we celebrate the incoming? ;-)

Both are new right? Strap on the right looks a bit worn or distressed.

Also "REJ" displays on stem guard on watch on left, while "REG" displays on watch on right.

Just the light/reflection making it appear so

^ Then 533 it is!

More seriously, going with your heart is the only way to go, as you know I've said before. As soon as one tries to convince oneself that another piece makes more "sense", they get away from what they love and inevitably end up flipping or feeling unsatidfied. It kind of sounds too simple, but you have to go with what makes you smile. And even if you ultimately stick to the 689 and 359, you'll have two absolutely killer watches that make you smile. Happy for you.

I think I've convinced myself it's not for me, if I'm totally honest. It's a beautiful reference but it looks a tad too big on me. Thing is Cru, the 533 was my first love when I first took your advice (yes, you, when I posted in the Rolex section last year asking for advice on my next incoming ) and started researching other brands. There was this huge advertising poster on the wall of an AD that Mrs Van D and me went into and it was showing the 533. She saw it straight away. Watches don't do much for her but it blew her skirt right up and it had the same effect on me. If I pick any other watch up, I'm always going to be thinking that I should've bought a 533 so it looks like it'll be that one next.

I had the 372, 233 and 533 all out in OP yesterday and I couldn't see past the 533. It won't be til next year now though, I'm banned from any more watch purchases until around my birthday next year

May be the light shine more on the right all good Paul

Thing is Cru, there are plenty of members who have several Subs, GMTs, Daytonas etc. on the Rolex front so I see no harm in having a 689 and 533. As said though, it's not going to be several months yet and my wife was absolutely spot on when she hacked into Mik's TRF account: I should enjoy the watches I have for the time being.

And yes, I love my 359 and 689

No. No, no, no, no, no. A thousand times no. I get the plexi and it being sacrilege to put a sapphire on the original but when you're as obsessed with scratches as I am, plexi is most definitely not the way forward

Cru's bad enough, don't you start as well!

It is a fabulous piece though and I still think it's a little big on me. I think it would need to be my fourth though, 533 is next

I do and it does Thing is, if I went sapphire 372 somewhere down the line, no one would ever know if I didn't tell them. It could be my dirty little secret
