Yellow Gold Indices and Hands on SS?

I recently picked up a 1985 (manual wind) 6694 and fell in love with the look of yellow gold indices and hand on a stainless watch. I don't recall seeing many Rolexes with this combination. Anyone else have Rolexes with similar set-up? Is this just on vintage models? Why is it uncommon today?

Lee, that is a gorgeous watch!

That's one of the things I like about Rolex. 1985 and a classic timeless look.

Congratulations!

Argghh!!! 1985 relegated to vintage. It doesn't even have open sixes or nines.

Might want to look at that 29 through a magnifier, Lee.

That's a GORGEOUS setup!

Regarding your comment that's an open "9" right there on your photo no?
