Dial variations 116710LN vs. BLNR
I've noticed that my LN (Nov 2016) has a narrower font and more prominent serifs on the 'ROLEX' text than the BLNR (Dec 2016) - perhaps just production methods (look at the X and E!). Wondering if anyone else has noticed differences in their dials? Incidentally the LN came with a clip on bezel protector and the BLNR with one which uses a small rubber band to hold it on. I'm curious if other new rolex models have dial variations?

There has been for many years, and will continue to be for many more to come, slight differences in the printed dials of all models....it isn't anything new.
As for the bezel protector, it is the new design of the plastic protection and nothing more. It's sole purpose is to deliver the watch to the customer unscathed in transit. After that, it sits in the box.

I knew the protector was just for that purpose but was wondering more if the fact they had tweaked the design of the protector meant they had tweaked the dials slightly too - just curiosity really!

The bezel cover is exactly that. I highly doubt it has anything at all to do with the dial or its font....
