16613 owners look at this!!

Hi members, I've been a Sub owner of various models over the years, but have only recently noticed this Rolex feature...On the underside of the gold bezel on my old 16613, you notice a microscopic "hole"...when I removed the bezel to change the insert, I noticed that this "hole" when viewed under a loupe, is actually a microscopic Rolex coronet stamp..It was wonderful to discover! Anyone else here noticed this??

First, laser etching and now this. I look forward to the next Rolex "easter egg" discovery. Great find, Shaun. Have a great day.

Most likely to distinguish a genuine Rolex bezel ring from an aftermarket. I have the same watch, but have never noticed.

.

On a 16613 the bezel is made of gold. For that reason it have a hallmark.

I don't have one on my Sea Dweller but maybe because it's stainless steel.

Don't think so. It's called a hallmark and is only on PM bezels, to my knowledge.
