Better chronograph, 26320 or 26300?

26320st
Pros: modern dial, tapisserie and clasp + newer reference
Cons: wears bigger (closer to the offshore)

26300st
Pros: wears small and closer to the 15202 (and daytona)
Cons: outdated dial and clasp

In overall, which of the two do you think is better?

For those who had or currently have both, which one do you prefer? Which one did you regret letting go? Would appreciate some inputs. Listed the pros and cons of each as to my knowledge only.

I wouldn't say the dial of the 26300 is a con. I much prefer the dial of the 26300 to the 26320. I would say go for the 26300 if it fits you well. I had a panda dial 26300 that I loved and the only reason I sold it was the clasp was very uncomfortable for my wrist. Otherwise I prefer everything about it to the 26320.

A lot of it is personal preference and what you get used to. I have a smaller 6.5" wrist and my 25860 is perfect to me. The proportions of the subdials and space on the dial just work. And I think the panda 26300 is probably the ideal ROC. That being said, if I had a bigger wrist and bought a 26320, I'm sure I'd eventually think that it was well-proportioned and maybe the older ones too compact. So other than your preference, I'd say wrist size is the second determinant.

Haven't really gotten the chance to take my actual wrist measurements (I'm guessing it's the average 6-6.5 though). But here are some shots of the chrono on me.

Blue 26300

Black 26300

Black 26320 (mine)

Biggest hindrance on the 26300 for me is that I feel the dial design looks pretty outdated (the tapisserie, hands, subdials, date disc not being the same color as the dial) compared to the 26320. Or this might just be me/personal taste.

The older style clasp I absolutely consider a negative for the 26300.

Although, based on how the watch wears and sits on my wrist, I feel that the 26300 may have a slight advantage (or maybe not?).

If you guys have any comments on how the different models wear on my wrist, please feel free to do so. Would deeply appreciate it.

Undecided as of the moment whether to flip my 41mm black roc for a blue 41mm roc, 40th jumbo, or go for the 39mm chronos.

Any thoughts/opinions as to which chrono wears better?

To me the smaller chronograph looks better. But ultimately it is whatever you like. There's something to be said about a classic

I've had 15300, 15400, 15703 and I currently have a 25850.

Of all of them, it's the one I like the most and fits me best, don't mind the older clasp, if anything I prefer the look (not so much the functionality).

It all depends on wrist size and shape, whatever fits you best.

Thanks for the tips. Highly undecided on which chrono suits me better (as well as the 202). Something about the 39mm size pointing to a better fit but overall design (modern dial and clasp) for me goes the 320's way.

The older clasp may require you to have the bracelet a little uneven to get the best fit. But it doesn't bother me at all

Thanks for the tip re clasp + uneven bracelet sizing for a better fit. Will definitely take this one into account as well.

Hello all!

Sorry to revive an old thread. Quick question for the experts. Can anyone confirm if the 25860 or 26300 reference AP 39MM chrono was made in a black? I have been searching forever. I saw a picture of the black above but not sure if its just a dark blue as many have said it was never made but some say it has. Thank you all so much for your help
