HULK - Different Greens?
I've seen people comment that there has been more than one green shade of ceramic used. Is this true? or are people confused by the green looking different in photos depending on lighting

no, not to my knowledge. same color green for all 116610lv. The green of the ceramic does not perfectly match the sunburst green of the dial, that would be impossible given the nature of the dial.

There are some who say the early models have a brighter green bezel.
But since the bezel shine in so may different tones depending on the light, it could well be a misunderstanding. until clearly proven to be different side by side. they are all the same. |

That's interesting. I would imagine if this was the case than they might be a rarity in the future. Although I would assume it is a rumor until someone clarifies.

It's just different lighting and angles. Rolex is a master at crafting bezels/dials that are completely different depending on the lighting or angle of view.

People are in fact seeing different shades and hues of green depending on light source and angle of watch bezel. The watch is basically a chameleon, very unique! Wearing mine now!

It's definitely a different tone of green on the ceramic bezel. I bought one from an AD back in 2015 and held it against my friend's 2011 model. The shade in the green is definitely different, but different in a way that's hard to describe. I want to say his (2011 model) is a lighter tone of green but duller and mine is a brighter green. But if you ask me to describe the difference if I had never had the two aside together, I would say they look the same.

I know we are not suppose to discuss about Fakes but fake LVC bezel color is a lot darker. Forest Green. (To be honest, fakes prob have more acceptable green color for majority of men's taste). I spot one when I was on plane for a business trip. I have the authentic LVC so I am very assure of the color. All the authentic one has the same overall hue.
Dial text have a little variation. Space between = sign and stuff. Someone mention the Submariner use of typeface is updated too. Not for their colors. |

To me it is about the lighting and the angle that you look at the watch.

I don't buy into the conspiracy. I beleive that the green is all the same. I highly doubt Rolex would change the coloring on the same model.

If this were true, wouldn't the internet be ripe with side-by-side photos in the same lighting clearly showing the difference?

I think it's all about the lighting. It's well known the dial changes color. I will admit the bezel on mine does appear slightly darker and matte than I see in most photos, but it's probably just perception.

I have a G serial and compared it to a new one at the AD... I didn't notice a difference aside from slight changes to the font and spacing on the dial.
