It's a white gold Daytona...or looks to be at least...the rehaut is engraved so it has to be at least a Z serial...so roughly 2006-7? Beyond that....I don't know..

116509 white gold Daytona with silver Arabic dial. Not more or less rare than other white gold Daytonas. Year could be anywhere from 2005ish to current.

Sharp looking watch. It looks like it could use a service.

You have to be careful with the silver racing dials as they discolor and turn purple. You can see it already doing it on the top of the dial. My AD had one in the case that was half purple and wouldn't discount more. Somebody ended up buying it though.

You can tell how old better if you see the inner clasp. If there's a circle it's before 2009 or 2010. The newer clasps are more rectangular.

Yes this is the info I'm looking for , thanks , so the dial going purple means a replacement if you want it immaculate ? And the bezel looks like it needs a polish , do rolex even polish wg ?

Are you looking to buy this watch?
If so, have a Rolex trained watchmaker check it - inside and out.

Then perhaps you will want some advice of the fellow AUS members - suggestions for a well-respected independent watchmaker who can validate the watch for you inside and out.

Yes, Rolex will polish WG, Rolex does not Rohdium plate like some jewelry to get the white look.

Also, the engraved rehautes on the 116509 started with D serial numbers in 2005.

I'd pass, should be better condition and other dial choices around if you are going WG.

This is my WG Daytona immediately after RUSA Service in Dallas...the service was done after 7 years for rotational wear.

Service in the US for a Daytona is between $900-$1000. If you can pick that one up for a good price, factor in service, Rolex will make that look brand new.

I think it's a beauty...the silver racing dial is so nice. Rare? No...but to be honest, I don't see as many of them as I do some of the other WG choices.

I would probably want to factor into the price a service, which on the Daytona is not cheap. Also keep in mind the resale on the WG model is not great. But...if it sings to you and the price is right, what the heck, go for it.

Actually, I think it's after 2010 since the "RolexRolexRolex" markings meaning it's the newest iteration of the Daytona

As the owner of a D series that was purchased in 2005, I state with the utmost certainty that the RolexRolexRolex is on my watch. The WG Dayton 116509 was one of the first, if not the first model to have it. Also, the WG Daytona 116509 first appeared as an F series.

Yes, quite early on the White Gold one. The engraving on SS did not come until late Z serial. Have seen a D serial engraved 116509, not an F -but I believe it
