Hello everybody my name is Ryan and I am from the southern Illinois area, In the last few weeks I have been reading through all the good information everybody has put up on this forum. Today I purchased my first Rolex, I got a explorer and I love it. I had a very good year in 2016 I am a sales manager for a heating and cooling company and have had a fantastic year me and my wife are also expecting our first child in may so I made the jump to get my first Rolex. A question I would like to ask is, should I wear this watch to work? My day consist of either being in the field working on furnaces, air conditioners, being in office which I don't like, and also meeting with people to go over options if they would like to purchase new Hvac systems, so if they see that I have a Rolex on my arm would they think that wow this guy is trying to screw me over so he can afford his Rolex, or also the 14 technicians that I am the boss of might think they work hard for me so I can afford a Rolex, what's your thoughts?

Sorry for the long post!

Most people probably won't even notice that it is a Rolex anyway.

And worst case scenario, if you are that worried about it: if someone says something to you, just tell them it is a fake.

Enjoy your new watch! And post some pics!

I would wear it daily. What a great thing to add to a great year. Congrats on your first Rolex, and first child! You didn't work hard for that watch to be worn on your days off!

Wear it daily, and give it to your child in 30 years, saying "I was wearing this watch the day you were born."

Thanks for the welcome and advise everyone! I definitely didn't buy my first Rolex for it to just sit there until my days off haha! But it does make me feel better that y'all have said to wear it so thanks!

Yes, wear it. First, it flies under the radar so most people will not identify it for what it is. If they do, so what. Next, it can take whatever you throw at it. Oh BTW, congrats.

Wear it and enjoy it. If your companies prices are competitive people will know you are not cheating them to buy a Rolex!

Very few will notice your watch, and those who notice most won't know what it is, and those who notice and recognize it as a Rolex probably won't care at all! And btw, non of this happened anyway because YOU DIDNT POST A PICTURE!!!! LOL

lol I will have to post a picture on Tuesday, to make a long story short I live in Illinois and my closest AD is in Missouri so to avoid paying over 8% sales tax they gave me the option to ship it to me, I should of taken a picture while at the store! Does anyone know if they let you keep the little Rolex rope that is attactched to it? That thing is pretty neat!

Absolutely that will come with the watch! That hang tag signifies the 5 year warranty!

Wear it. If someone mentions it in a negative way say it was a gift. They don't need to know it was a gift from you to you. Congrats on the watch and all the other successes!
