Eternal wait for Daytona and D-Blue lead to this...

IMG_4938.jpg
IMG_4939.jpg

Bought this at Costco for a fiction of a Daytona SS or D-Blue...

What trouble me is, I keep buying cheap toy watch that I'll wear for few months and put aside...

This impulse buying wouldn't of happen if I get my Daytona SS or a D-Blue.

But you got to hand it to Nixon, this 49mm brick of metal feel pretty good for less than $300 CAD :)

Please tell me reason to refund this thing lol

Buy what you like for sure but I am not sure why you were looking at a chronograph and a dive watch and ended up buying a world timer?

well...not sure if your post is a joke, but if you want a reason...

I can't tell from your pic if that is a man's wrist or a woman's.
If A, it's a man's wrist, looks like your compensating too hard, if B, a woman's wrist, it looks too big.

Beats my mind why Rolex doesn't understand that it leaves behind many frustrated customers. We want to buy daytonas and DSSDs for god's sake!

We will turn and buy other things and we might not play your game anymore.

About your impulse buy, agree... nice to scratch the itch, but pizza-size doesn't work.

Besides it being too big for your wrist, it's rather ugly.

Nothing wrong with big watches but when the lugs extend beyond your wrist, it looks silly

Not my cup of tea but it would be very different if we all liked the same things.

This does raise a serious point though about Rolex's self imposed waiting lists. How many people will get fed up of waiting and go and buy from a different brand? They are surely losing customers.

Sorry but that's like wearing a dumbbell on your wrist.
I'd take it back.

Why not get another Rolex reference or alternatively a Tudor, Breitling, Tag or Seiko?
Of course, it's your wrist so if your President Nixon sings to you, then keep it. But in all honesty, it's a visually challenging watch!!

Rolex isn't doing themselves any favor by restricting their own market. AD's aren't helping either. They tell paying customers that there is a wait list yet sell them out the back door to resellers as soon as they come in.

I have my name on the wait list at two different AD's. If one doesn't come in, I just may go through a trusted seller.

I'm thinking nobody. These are the must have watches. None of these watches will sit unsold in the showcase.
