The Rolex 116710 LN Green writing ??? What is it?

Just an observation, I noticed the BLNR has white writing (GMT MASTER II) and compared to the 116710LN has green writing. Is the 116710LN the standard GMT???

Then there is the possible BASEL prediction of a Coke GMT Master II. which most likely will have white writing. At least from the prediction anyway.

I think the BLNR and a possible coke GMT will have white writing these just might be the standard GMT's and the ref: 116710LN black on black green writing are special GMT's.I guess we shall see what the big monster will do to us.

I do understand that the ref 116710LN is an anniversary model. so the green writing is for the ann models only.

The 116710LN isn't an anniversary model as many think.

That title belongs to the all gold GMT with the green dial.

Why Rolex decided to make the GMT MASTER writing green on the LN and then use white and not blue for the same writing on the BLNR is anyone's guess?

Rolex seems to be open to playing with color lately. The GMT is a good example. Then the blnr had matching writing. He asking has an interesting face. There's a rumor the sea dweller may get updated for its anniversary with some cored writing. And there's the bright orange hand on the explorer two which went away but has now returned.

Green dial ink would not look very good with the blue hand and insert, would it?

They are both a "standard" GMT but simply have different cosmetic options.

A SS coke with red writing would be sweet. Where are the photoshop pros at?

Whatever the reason for it, I absolutely love the green hand and dial.

Interestingly, I prefer blue to green yet I find the LN more appealing then the BLNR

Agreed, but blue writing or even red would have been very cool on the BLNR.

I love my LN, I really do, but would have personly preferred the GMT hand to have remained red like all the previous models, and the GMT MASTER II logo should have remained in white, like the rest of the text on the dial.

The green GMT hand is just to difficult to see at night in the cockpit.....in fact, you can't really see it at all, and the blue hand on the BLNR suffers the same problem.

If Rolex re-release the LN with those changes, I'd feel obliged to trade mine for it.
