114060 No Longer Feeling It.

I bought a ND 114060 and for the past four months I've been wearing it almost everyday on rubber. At first I was in love with how clean it was but for the past month I like it less and less. If I'm no longer feeling it, it needs to go...

I've gone through almost every SS 6 digit reference in the past 18 months and the only one that seems to remain is the HULK - I've decided to sell the ND but I have NO idea what to get next.

I bought a 36mm DateJust style SEIKO on a jubilee and I'm really feeling the size and wrist feel but I am not sure if I should spend the money on the real deal or look at a different model.

Please make some suggestions! No No List: BLNR, DJ, OP, EXP I

Since you like the LV, maybe color is your thing. What about a 16710 Pepsi?

I am sure you did this before, but I would recommend going to an AD and trying on all the different watches in the store before deciding on one.

From my personal experience, I realized that I tend to feel a bigger connection to watch that also has some sentimental value attached to it - gift from a loved one, first Rolex, etc.

I felt less attached to the recent pieces that I had in my collection than my first Rolex, even though they were much more expensive. Now, whatever watch I add to my collection seems like yet another Rolex in my collection whereas my first Rolex was THE Rolex for me (at least at the time).

How about you take some time off from adding to your collection, or go after pieces that are harder to acquire? The wait/anticipation could make you enjoy the piece even more.

That's actually at the top of my list! The only thing holding me back is the Tuna clasp.

No real life experience with one.

I have no issue with the stamped claps (actually, I prefer them). But if it bothers you, you can bolt on a new style clasp really easily, once you've sourced it.

It's a conundrum - love just about everything on the older ones but that light weight clasp. I speed date the prior generations so I've finally moved on and learned to stay away. Funky fresh 16 airking?

What is it you like about the Hulk and dislike about the Submariner? A DaytonaC is a great reco, as is the Pepsi if you don't mind second hand.

Top of my list too. Tried one on recently and found it more comfortable than my SubC, so I'm not too worried about the clasp. Everyone talks about how great the glidelock is on the SubC, and it's true that it's a great mechanism... but it is a huge and inflexible piece of the bracelet. The stamped ones were the standard for many years. I could live with it.

Don't let that hold you back Carlos. The old clasp works just fine.

Carlos, I'm with Neil on this one. Why not try a PM? Look for a nice slightly used one, just in case.

Whatever you wind up doing, down the line, I'd bet you end up to some degree missing the 114060. That's why so many of us wind up with a multi-watch collection. The problem is flipping a watch on impulse just to re-acquire that same model several months later at oftentimes higher cost, because of a re-discovered desire for that model we used to have.... In any case, good luck!

Go for a 36 mm Day Date, that's going to be my next pickup because I too love the feel of that size on my wrist. Good luck and let us know what you end up with

I'd have to agree that a PM piece would be a nice change of pace, as long as a full gold piece isn't too over the top for you.....a 36mm DD would be a perfect addition IMO....OR how about a 16600? As for the concern regarding the old style clasp....that's something that no one should be concerned with....I have a few of both and honestly think the old style is more comfortable.....the glidelock is a pretty solid feature but other then that...I could honestly care less...they both serve there purpose...and quite well I might add....let's not forget the fact that the old styl "tuna" style clasp as people like to say has been around since ooooh about 50 years!!!

I think you really have to try a PM piece.

The Weight, the Prestige, the way car sales people dote over you, and lastly, the pure Joy that it gives it's wearer... ...

Are you open to PM?

Me too in exactly the same time frame! Got bored of the look and missed the cyclops/date badly!

Traded it in and got a GMT II C. Loving it!
