Pricing on AP ROO forged carbon

I brought my first AP couple weeks ago. Today, my AD called and told me they have a special price for the AP ROO forged carbon 44m. The Model #: 26400au.oo.a002ca.01. They are asking for 27.5K. He made it sounded like it's a fire sale. This is a watch I will eventually get. So my question is, is the offered price too good to pass? Since I just got an AP, I prefer to wait for few months to get another one. But if the price is truly a bargain, I can get it now.
Thanks for any feedback.

It's not a bargain. Under 25k would be a good price. 23-24k would be a bargain.

23% off isn't a bargain. You should be getting 27-30% off as a fair deal. Over 30% is bargain.

Obviously this dealer has no buyer. That watch is old. The fact it's still sitting around gives you the power to negotiate.

I've seen them for 24k easy. CRM jewelers in Miami just had one for 24k.

That's not a bad price for a BNIB from AD with 3 yrs warranty. You're NOT gonna get a new one under 25k.

appreciate all the feedback. I guess I will buy it if they accept my 24K counter. I always thought jomashop has the cheapest price, so I kind of use their price as a guide. still a rookie. LOL

27.5 for BNIB is fair (actually pretty good for an AD). The last one I saw (grey) after it was discontinued was above that.

Not for a BNIB from an AD. No way.

It is a bargain BNIB at that price you were quoted. Last price was $36,900 USD.

BTW, I countered with 24K this morning, and the AD thought I was being unreasonable. the guy was actually pretty upset when I mentioned the number.

Considering his cost is $23,250'ish, I'd think he was probably right in his feeling

27.5 is a pretty fair deal, i think if you get into the 26 range I would call it a bargain.

Alright go up to 25k max. Think of it like this you buy 27.5k BNIB and if tomorrow you turned around and tried to sell you'd take a 4-5k loss. Does that make sense to you?

How bad do you want it? I wouldn't go over 25k max.

I actually prefer to get the 44m RG version first. the AD's bottom line is 27.5. I guess I will pass then. I am new to the AP world, still learning all the ropes. Unlike rolex which there is not much gaming on the pricing.

They should be offering 30% to you. Discontinued or not. The carbon pieces never went up after being discontinued. Just look at the alinghi pieces.

I'd get the RG first too. I sold my 44CE for the new 44RG. I'm sure at some point AP will make another 44FC. I'll probably add that one then as well.

Thats used. Not BNIB. Call CRM Jewelers in Miami tell them you saw there 44mm carbon for 24k. If they ever get another one in to let you know.

It's nonsense like seen in this thread that my ignore list keeps longer and longer. Your AD made a fair offer. Probably a little room but 24 was not reasonable.

Not at all. But I got it at a good price. My dealer gives me all AP between 25-29% off. Sometimes 30% if it's been held for over a year.

Plus the CE always had better resale than the FC. If I told you what I'm getting the new RG at, you'd really be questioning justifying 27.5k for the FC considering how long that dealer has held onto it.

I just know used people like CRM and the other big grey dealers will pay like 20-22k for that watch. Then they list it for around 24-25k. Then ultimately sell it for like 22-23k. Especially CRM. They buy everything for around 15% lower than they first initially list it at. I know Eric well.

So again to me it isn't worth losing 4-5k. If this is like a watch for life then OP can come back at like 26.5k and just live with that price.

Now I'm confused. Is it a question between buying new and used. If your looking at used 24k is the going rate. New maybe 27k is a good deal. Would I buy it New probably not. But it's up to you.

You might have noticed that CRM has an FC 44 pre-owned listed at 31+ ...
