Is it rude to ask to change strap for a different brand?

So, I was going to go to a Lange boutique to help me change my strap to a new one. Yet, since my Maurice Lacroix has the same lug size as my Lange, I was also wondering whether I could ask the boutique to swap the old Lange strap into the Maurice Lacroix one.

So, old Lange strap -> new Lange strap (both on a lange watxh)
Old lange strap -> swapped into Maurice Lacroix.

Is it considered rude to ask this? Just wondering..

They might charge a couple bucks, but it shouldn't be a problem for them to swap straps.

I say it's not rude especially if you ask very nicely and are smiling.

Agreed. Individuals may be rude, but the request certainly is not.

In my experience with the Lange boutique they have been quite accommodating, and I would be surprised if they would charge you anything for this service. More likely you'll enjoy a cappuccino or bottled water while they honor your request.

Surely you do that yourself.

I would not think it would be an issue.
