Why is the RG Montoya comparatively unloved?

What am I missing? It seems a nice watch to me but hear very little about them on here?

Hahaha! Who knows. I actually have been looking for the Restivo 25 piece RG rubber clad perpetual chrono offshore but the only one on C24 is with Motion in Time and they want a very high price.

Do your homework on them Roger if you are considering.

How much are they looking for it?
More or less than this?

I'm not a RG guy, but I do very much like the PT and SS versions.

While I love CF on cars, I dont really like the CF pattern on the bezel. Of the racing RG watches, it's between the RB2 and Schumi for me.

Love the Montoya, the first Royal Oak Offshore with a Carbon Fiber Bezel. Awesome piece for real hardcore AP collectors.

Yes MIT have more baggage than Samsonite. But that was the only one I could find on sale.

PJ that link isn't working for me.

I find the design of the Montoya quite interesting. I have owned all the other motor racing offshore editions but never done the Montoya.

PJ worked out what you were linking. MIT want less than that.

Aye, forum link function acting up again, like it did previously!
Fixed it now.

Thanks PJ. Roughly the same. Difficult to price this one but 75 feels slightly punchy.

I love the RG RBii, which I believe we've discussed in the past. The Montoya is a bit more striking on first glance, and I do like the black dial, but the bezel looks odd the more time you spend with it. I think you'd like it about 2 weeks before kicking it on down the road.

2 weeks in Roger time is 18 months in real time, for everyone else.
That’s why he never bothers checking the accuracy – the parts haven’t settled/bedded in by the time he’s done with them.

Unfortunately I was not able to conclude a deal on the RG Montoya earlier today so plan B is a platinum RB2 which just appeared.

Lucky you. RG Montoya is ugly as hell. Platinum RB2 far superior :).

A much better option. You can definitely pull off the platinum.

That's one heavy beast.

Too uncomfortable for me to wear, but stunning watch.
