INCOMING! I'm part of the AP Club!

I have finally joined the AP club!

I’m still in shock that I now own an AP as part of my small modest collection. I didn’t think I’d be adding an AP for a while yet.
I started looking for one here in London through grey dealers. I’ve never bought a watch this way so was a bit nervous about the whole thing. The search wasn’t going anywhere. I then travelled abroad and while there I tried to source one with not much luck as the price wasn’t quite right and the sellers weren’t all too great.

Then I posted a thread on the forum about how warranty works with grey dealers because I didn’t quite understand the whole thing. Just when everything was looking all bleak with no hope, Neil aka ‘AK797’ suggested I contact ‘Addy616’ who is based in the US but was travelling to the UK in two weeks.

So I made contact with Addy616, who is a trusted seller here on TRF. So I explained I wanted an APRO and he said he was able to source one just as I wanted for an awesome price. I was so pleased Addy616 just felt like a blessing in disguise! So with that I placed a deposit with him while I was still abroad with a week still to go before flying back home and yes that was a long week lol. After arriving back in London Sunday I met up with Addy616 and collected the watch Monday of this week. I was so nervous about the whole thing because I’ve only ever bought through ADs, but Addy616 was a super nice guy. We had a great laugh and not only have I made a new contact to get watches from but also a friend

And I have to say that if it was not for Neil (AK797) this whole deal would never have happened and I wouldn’t have probably got an AP yet. So Neil you’re a star, you saved me quite a bundle, thank you so much.
I went to the AP service centre in London on Tuesday to get the bracelet sized up. I had to have a 1.5mm link fitted (slightly bigger). It ruins the symmetry for me but I didn’t have a choice as this is the best fit for my wrist.

Well enough talking, here are some pictures for you to enjoy. You’ve seen this ref so many times but let’s see a few more

Congrats, looks cool. I've worn AP for about 10 years and in my opinion nothing except RM looks as cool as an AP.

Thank you thank you :D

I like to give my Rolex watches a little bath regularly with a toothbrush under the tap to keep them nice and clean. Can I do the same with the AP? I know it has a screw down crown so will it be fine to wash it under the tap with a toothbrush?

Congrats! I got that one about a year ago, and haven't lost any interest in it. Your Rolex watches will get jealous though because they definitely won't see your wrist as much anymore.
