15400 any live pics of the new dial?

Glanced over the SIHH thread and have seen it mentioned and seen it on the AP site but does anyone have a link to the new 15400 grey ruthenium dial option?

Good question...

I'd like to see some live pics too, but don't think I'll prefer it to my 15400 blue...the colour is just amazing in the sunlight!

I'm not sure how much different this will be from the black dial 15400. Mine always looks gray to me

I can't see them selling two closely conflicting dial options so should expect some contract between them!

Nice but you'll never beat blue for any RO or Nautilus, they are made to be blue

Know I'm in the minority but I'm just not a fan of the blue dials, AP or PP.

Agree with the comments about blue.
It does and reflection/angle dependant the black can look grey so really wanted to see this dial out in the wild to get an idea of what's it's like.

I agree with you Sam. I'm in the minority too I think, but I prefer the black over blue too. It took me a long time to decide which to go for and I decided on the black. I feel my DJ II with the sunburst blue dial is a nicer blue.

It all comes down to personal preference but I think the black is nicer than the blue in the RO.

I think the black is better than the blue too. But the ultra thin, historical movement, and just resale value makes me want the 15202 :).

Reviving this topic.

This pic came up on my Insta feed and it really got my attention (aware image maybe enhanced so stil want to view in person) but this dial does look

Now initially from DavidSW pics I was a little underwhelmed as it looked a very matt/pastel colour as here

Anyone owners on here?

i like it... i just like the Ti 44 better. For a 15400 there are better options IMO. Two grey watches would be a little much for me and is the main reason i would not consider it.

The article described the color well. Honestly if this were an option when I bought my black 15400, I would've given it serious consideration. There are lots of gray 5402's out there so they are being true to their roots. The 15400 is the best way to get the most surface space of the grande tapestrie dial. And that dial is amazing!

Their quote:

Depending on lighting conditions the dial goes from a light grey almost identical to that of the date disc and all the way to a light charcoal. When exposed to natural light, the dial appears perfectly grey.

Was at my local AD yesterday and they had one. I'm not an AP owner yet, but this one or the silver (white) dial will be my first in the not too distant future.

Nice shot that looks very true to life, did u feel the dial got lost a bit in case due to the colour being similar ?

Didn't see one at the AP GTG as such but while Tyler and I were in the Goyard Boutique a guy in there was wearing one and it looked good, didn't in any way look washed out against the case.

Still need to handle one in person but first impressions are good.

No, I didn't get that feeling at all. I think it goes very well with the case. It doesn't stand out like the silver dial does, but it's a very nice combination.
Unfortunately the pictures don't look great because the watch is covered with the stickers.
I would say the second picture gives a better representation of the dial color than the first.

Love that dial and if I was getting a 15400 that would be the one!
