Icon10 AP ROO 26470ST vs RL Daytona 116500

Hello AP Fan,

I would like to hear your thought about trading AP ROO 26470ST for new RL Daytona 116500. Is it worth to go for it? Deep in my mind, I still think that AP ROO is a better timepiece in term of craftsmanship and value. But with the current trading market RL Daytona Ceramic rareness and high premium (especially in Asia market) make me want to own one.

Appreciate all your input on this topic.

No I wouldn't

ROO is always going to worth a certain amount and you really dont see a lot of them around even here in Hong Kong with so many expensive watches around. 116500 will gradually go down in value over time

IMHO (H=Humble) The ROO is in a class of it's own; with regards to styling and craftsmanship.

Go for the AP!

Absolutely NOT - no hesitation in the answer. The Daytona is a great watch and I own a 116520, BUT the AP is far superior in craftsmanship / finish - there is NO WAY you should do the trade as the prices of the Daytona will eventually subside/normalise.

I think that's a very sensible decision.

Don't buy a new Daytona over retail! AP is too good to swap for a 116500.

Good call on staying in the AP family
