Question on Laptimer from AP CEO

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13rs8gitbfU

Check this video out. Here he says from the laptimer that they will have an integrated mechanism chronograph that will go in the chronographs across the collection in 2 years. Wouldn't that be now?

What was he talking about in this video?

Obviously it has been delayed for whatever reason. I have been hearing about this "New In-house Chronograph movement" since 2013. It better be ground breaking and break all the rules when it finally got released.

Lol maybe I should put off my purchase till next year then? Seems they start working on it in 2013. So it takes 5 years typically for them to make a movement and release it.

In this interview www.youtube.com/watch?v=rigsCqKsVVw from few week ago Bennahmias says about new chrono:

It's done. Yes it's done... now it's just a matter of launching it at the right time in the right pieces, but if you wait it will come soon enough, no worries... but it's done... it's done... and working extremely fine...

For some reason he doesn't look happy to answer this question :)

How long do they want us to wait? Another 5 years?

Maybe until they have finally sold off all the old movements which they must have a lot of stock, hence the large number of new ROC models based on the old movements announced during last month SIHH.

I think AP wants you to buy one now, and another one when they finally release the in-house chrono movement
