How long have you been waiting - if many months I would snap this up. Also passing might make the AD think you're not serious and you won't get offered white, so depends if you know each other well too.

I was in the exact same situation back in November. I decided to wait for the white. In the mean time I just acquired a AP RO 15400st from Dan Dubinsky.

I had opportunity for both and couldn't resist the black so chose it. I am now waiting for the white but if I could only have one black it would be. Get the one you prefer most! Really doesn't matter much what we think so go with your heart! Either way you can't lose IMHO.

I'm in NJ too. I'll take whichever one you don't.

I had the option for both and chose black. It's amazing in the flesh -- have zero regrets. Highly recommend!

Personally the black has grown on me even though the white was my first impulse. Why don't you go down to the AD and try it on just to see how it looks & feels. Pictures don't tell the whole story and you really need to see it first hand. Otherwise if you were strongly attracted to the white right off the bat then maybe you should wait. Either way they are winners. Good Luck! Cheers!

Both are great! If you really want the white just wait but it might be sometime before you get it.

Wait for the 500 you want. I was offered the black in June 2016 and passed, had my heart set on the white that arrived mid December 2016. Glad I waited, it's a stunning Rolex.

It's too much money to compromise. If you can stand the waiting game then hold out for white

I Was in the same boat. Black came in first then eventually got the white.
I did get both but moved the white as for some reason i fell in love with the black more. |

Great shot. I love both watches immensely! while the white is polarizing, the black is mesmerizing. Kudos to Rolex, with minimal changes they were able to bring out even more beauty in the Daytona.

If you really wanted the white I say wait it out. I am on the list for the white and if I was called for the black one I would pass.
