So, after purchasing the 560, I have come to realize that now is probably the best time to buy Panerai watches. Prices are more affordable and there are less craze over it. Before, it used to be so hard to find stock in HK AND the prices were just outrageous.

Anyways, so after wearing the 560 for a few days, I find myself looking more and more about the history and styles of Panerai. The more I look, the more i want to purchase another one!!!

So now I am also eyeing the 510 or the 01312.

The thing I don't particular like about the 01312 is the word "automatic". I know the 510 is very similar with the 560 except for the extra "seconds" hand. So now I must think carefully which one to consider.

510 really is close to what you have....564 would at least give you Ti plus a chocolate dial. Or maybe look beyond the crown guard to a Rad or 1940 Rad? Or a sub?

So many great options.... take your time and enjoy the hunt.

Honestly I think Panerai will have a second coming so to speak. They really know how to respond to their customers and after spending a lot of time at the flagship US store in Miami, I'm developing a new appreciation for the brand that a lot of others leave lacking for me. I'm SUPER pumped to see the new 42mm submersibles come out, as I'll probably get one for a daily driver.

Yes, the new 42 mm Sub look interesting. The 564 is interesting as well. When will the sub actually arrive the AD's?

I believe the boutiques will actually start getting the various SIHH watches starting within a couple of weeks. I don't know specifically when the 42mm submersibles will come in, but they will likely be in around mid to late march. To regular AD's...that could be a while, they definitely give preference to the boutiques for generally at least 4-5 months minimum. So worst case you're looking at Fall.

Titanium 564 is very nice, as is the steel 590 -- both 44mm Luminor Marinas. I'd still like to find a nice titanium 177 with the Unitas movement but discontinued now for a while. Even the newest Luminors have lost the sandwich dials they were introduced with not long ago (e.g., 560, 562, 564, 510).

If you like the 1312 but are put off by the "automatic" on the dial, as I was, see if you can find a 312. In fact, check out the 359 too, very similar but with full Arabics and the awesome 'dirty' dial. I know it's Cru's job to enable but my 359 says hi

You're comments are definitely spot on, Panerai isn't as popular as it used to be for a variety of different reasons. The strength in the pricing has definitely softened, with the exception of the really rare and desirable timepieces.
