Thanks everyone! May try it on an electric blue rubber strap to match the dial centre. The original strap is alcantara based and is super comfy but a little bland.

I like the GP strap. The watch face itself is loud so not bad to have a muted but very comfortable strap. This is my favorite platinum AP. Well... next to the 15202 openwork platinum. Do you have that one too? lol

They really made attention for every detail on the GP series (and every other F1/auto based AP)...
And this is a rarely seen platinum version... I think blue will suit better than the white strap... |

Congrats Roger. Looks great indeed but honestly speaking, I am not that hot for the FC bezel. Still prefer the Schumi Pt ROO by a mile. Of all the AP watches, that one looks most impressive on you.
So when you are buying that back? I will never be able to put up wearing a Pt ROO but I can take nice pics of it.

Thanks everyone. I actually think it works really well with the Carbon bezel and looks much better in the flesh than in pictures. No need to change to ceramic until the Carbon starts to show signs of wear. 75 pieces only so a rare bird. Strap options being evaluated further at the SIHH viewing tomorrow. Lots of positive comments on the white. Will have a better sense of future incomings at the viewing (already bought my top pick the novelty 44mm ceramic but haven't seen the others apart from the titanium 44mm. Sadly they won't have the fully platinum 42mm Offshore.
Cant find a Platinum Schumacher to buy back sadly Ben. If you hear of one....... |

Awesome pick up, Roger! How's that one compared to your old Pt Shumi?

I actually prefer the look of this to the Schumacher Platinum although certain elements of the latter are fantastic like the cermet bezel. The blue of the pt Schumacher I find a little bland I have to say and the watch overall in my view needs a bit more colour to detract from the grey/blue-grey overload. having said that I would probably buy it back if I found one. |

It doesn't photograph well and when the Carbon bezels get worn they look awful! The edges get rubbed off. This one is as new fortunately! But when it does show signs of wear the ceramic replacement is always an option.
