The famous Glasgow Rangers - Firhill for thrills
Just watched Partick Thistle v Rangers on tv. Great game and two fantastic goals by Boyd and Mendes. If the goals did not have nets that shot would have ended up in Bishopbriggs Main Street. Thistle goal was class too. Cheered me up a bit after the death of one of the family pets - Andy Goram the Fish. He has gone to the big aquarium in the sky only to be replaced by Willie Johnston the Fish and Sandy Jardine the Fish. That will be some new friends for Broxi Fish, The Coop and Richard Gough. You may find it hard to believe but I was supporting Rangers during the game.
I read an earlier post about putting the central heating on and immediately felt cold. Had to put it on but the football and a couple of beers helped heat up the atmosphere. Padi Edit. Moved to the correct forum, every forum has on the main page what can be posted in each forum, it really is simple to just read the forum header. |

That made me smile. two cracking goals too! Partick also played well- very enjoyable game, that is now 4 good games in a row. Sure beats last seasons boredom. P.S no Terrier called Stuart McCall?

Andy Goram - legendary Rangers goalie. Johnstone was a fine winger and Sandy Jardine was a great fullback - unsung hero but a top player nonetheless. But who's The Coop? (I'm guessing Broxi is an anagram of Ibrox?)

A Rangers and Celtic fan get into a nasty car accident. Both vehicles are really wrecked, but amazingly neither of them are hurt.
After they crawl out of their cars, the Celtic fan says, "So you're a Rangers fan, that's interesting. I'm a Celtic fan... Wow! Just look at our cars. There's nothing left, but fortunately we are unhurt. This must be a sign from God that we should meet and be friends and live together in peace the rest of our days." The Rangers fan replied,"Totally agree - this must be a sign from God!" The Rangers fan went on, "And look at this - here's another miracle. My car is completely demolished but this bottle of whisky didn't break. Surely God wants us to drink it, to celebrate the fact we are alive and kicking?" He hands the bottle to the Celtic fan who nods his head in agreement, opens it and takes few big swigs from the bottle, then hands it back to the Rangers fan. The Rangers fan takes the bottle, immediately puts the cap back on, and hands back to the Celtic fan. The Celtic fan asks, "Aren't you having any?" The Rangers fan replies, "Nah...I think I'll just wait for the police......" |

J PS My colleague goes to watch the goons at the Shhhhhmerites and reckons Bender is the worst attacking player he's seen in the shirt!!!!!! J |

He thinks Viera and Henry were good sells...he has no love for Ade though...a lot of the goon supporters think he'll be gone in Jan...if not then def. next summer!!!!! All we ever hear about is Arsenal and their potential and youth sides...we've heard it for years....about time they started producing. In fact this Wenger babes crap is almost as bad as the Spurs top 4 , Champions league next year drivel!!!!! I personally can't see past Chelsea or Man U....as long as Liverpool win fk all then I'll be happy! J |

Rumours abound last night about his apparent suicide. He was a great servant of Newcastle, Spurs and Rangers. I cannot stand what he became but I sympathise with his plight and will never forget two pieces of magic in particular. A certain free kick in an FA Cup semi at Wembley. Making honeymonster Hendrie look befuddled and thumping it in and past those poor old scots!!!!!! Ahhhh great memories...almost makes me forgive him for Fog on The Tyne! J |
