Jubilee on BLNR, options and considerations

First post, considering buying a GMT BLNR and loving the look of this watch on a jubilee strap.
Did some research already and found out there apparently are two ways to go
  1. Super Jubilee, 63600, needs 1.8mm springbars to fit. Is originally made for 36mm watches. Pros: looks really good, solid links, really liking the new clasp. Cons: supposedly does not sit entirely flush against the case due to differences in case circumference (36 vs 40mm)?
  2. "Regular" Jubilee, 62510h 50, takes 2.0mm springbars. Is originally made for the GMT as well. Pros: should sit flush against the case, clasp allows for more adjustment. Cons: Links not solid, clasp looks less good than the Super Jubilee.

I am particularly concerned regarding the Super Jubilee's fit against the case. I've looked at various images of the Super Jubilee on the GMT but fail to see whether this alleged "misfit" is a tangible issue.

Looking forward to your opinions on this and particularly looking forward to any closeup images that might show how both options align on the case.

Super J is the way to go. I got one to put on my BLNR but it ended up on my GMT II Coke instead.

Precision vs Perception

I put a SJ on my BLNR not long after I bought the watch and it's still on there. The bracelet ends do not make a precise fit with the case, but frankly that doesn't bother me in the slightest. what "bothers" me is I got a modern GMT that looks like it could be vintage due to the SJ bracelet. God help me if a RONR comes out in a couple of weeks...

Thanks for the input guys.
Le Chef, any chance on a closeup of the fit of the Super Jubilee? Are the fit issues only relating to the differences in radius?
Hoping to get a feel on how "off" the fit is and whether that would bother me. On the images you posted I dont even see any fit issues.

And the missing one

Apologies

You can see if you look closely that the end links and the lugs do not have precisely the same profile. In terms of fit (lugwidth gap) there is no problem at all and the bracelet is a tight fit.

The SJ are for DJ 36mm case. The BLNR is 40mm. The 502T end links are for a 40mm case.

Dumb question...

Where are you guys getting this from?

Can it be done to the submariner?

If you use a 62510 bracelet, you'd better PAY ATTENTION to your end links. If you have no access to the spring bar after you put it on, it will have to be cut off. There is a thread around here about a poor guy who had this happen.

I also put the SJ on my BLNR. U would say the fit for all intents and purposes looks and fees perfect. The only gap and its tiny is visible on the underside of the watch. I will post pics. I cant speak for the old jubilee but I will say the BLNR is a heavy maxi case and I can't imagine a hollow link bracelet. Also, I love the hidden clasp of SJ.

Thanks for all the info guys.

I managed to acquire a new BLNR a few weeks ago.

At that time, the AD had a 62510h bracelet, which we subsequently put on using the 502t endlinks. To me this looked like a great fit.
It turned out however, that this bracelet did not have the 50 stamp, and 1.8mm springbars were used. As such, I returned this bracelet to the AD, and asked for the 62510h with 50 stamp to be ordered.

Today, I was informed the 62510h stamp 50 can no longer be ordered new from Rolex. As such, I will have to look for a different solution (either 63600, which does not fit entirely right, or the 62510h I got in the first place, which takes the 1.8mm springbars). Before I go this route, would like to have verified that indeed the 62510h 50 can no longer be ordered new directly from Rolex.

Anybody on the board that can confirm or debunk this?

Thanks in advance!
