What's the current preference on Daytona C dial color?
Hi trf members!
It has been almost a year and we all have seen plenty of pictures of Daytona C white and black. So, what's your preference after a year? White? Black? |

I like the black, but the consensus seems to be white from what I can tell

Originally liked black but the more I looked at it the more I appreciated the contrast of the white dial / black bezel

Of the AD's I have contacted recently who say they have a so called "list," the number of people on the list for white dial far outnumber black dial. If an opportunity to purchase the Daytona C at an AD for MSRP happens in the near future, black dial would be my first choice.

I am particular to black dialed watches, however on this example I think I'd go white!

Ordered white, jumped on black when it arrived and so glad I did. White pops more but black is just so classic. No regrets!

On the 116520, funnily, I switched from liking the white, to liking the black. Just felt like the white lacked some contrast, and white and silver subdials started to look a bit dull in pictures (take this with a grain of salt though as I never owned either).
Then the DaytonaC came out, and the white with the black subdial rings and black bezel added back all the contrast I thought was missing in the 520. |

Black and it's not even close. I will add white too but the black is so stealth and is the perfect Daytona!

Black and so glad I chose black. The white is nice as well, but the black is so classic.

I think in general it applies to others too like the explorer ii. It's a handsome look.

White for me since day one. It has so much more "pop" and nice contrast too.

I passed up a black to wait for the white (came in December), and so happy I did. Both are beautiful, but the contrast on the white (with the black sundial rings and bezel) and the legibility are just stunning.

I actually tink the black looks better, but since day 1 I would always go for the white. Too many watches have black dials and it's difficult to do a good white dial sport watch. The white dial Daytona is the best white dial sports watch I can think of, so it makes it more interesting than the black one. (Strange logic huh )

I still say white! I am on the list waiting and am confident a black will come in first and hope I have the strength to resist and wait for a white.
I do have concerns though I don't want black because the rest of my collection all has black dials but I think the black is very classy and would be quite versatile. I am concerned about the white because of its more sporty less dressy nature but ohhhh it is so striking. |
