Would you trade a 2 tone Subc LN for a SDC4000 right now?
I'm being offered a BRAND NEW 116600 Sea Dweller fully stickered for my 2 tone Subc LN. Would this be a wise move?

If you like the SD, sure why not? If your main motivation for taking the trade is you believe you might sell the SD in the future at a huge profit, I'd keep the sub.

fwiw, i think the real buy is older SD's and not the SD-c if you're looking for value. grab a 16600 for $5k and keep the 2t at the same time. |

Msrp to msrp you are getting hosed. You think an ad or trusted seller is in it to lose money?

I think that the Black TT Sub is the best looking watch that Rolex has ever produced.

Why? That's a somewhat big loss on your TT Sub all things considered.

TT NEVER holds value like the SS do. Trade in for a TT sub is like 8000-8200 max, You can't get a NIB Seadweller for that at all, they are all MSRP at this point. Yeah I would do it!

Sd4000 is a great watch but I just prefer the deep sea in every way blue or black. The clasp adjustment is just unreal

I buy watches because I like them, think this forum is getting too overrun with talk of future values now, don't we all have jobs? This is supposed to be a fun hobby.

It is a fun hobby,so don't get upset because we're asking questions. It's not that serious.

Don't like to see someone get hammered on a trade. If he sells his watch he can put cash in his pocket in excess of the cost of a sd4k.

nope i would not... i like my TT and after owning a 16600 dont see any benefit to trading other then long term $$$ value, i dont buy my rolexes based on $$ return in years to come. I buy what i like and what i want to own not what i want to sell down the track.

For the TT black Sub yes I would, just because I like the SD4k more than the TT black.
