Nolte was in there, but they didn't include Jeff Bridges in King Kong.

Surprisingly, I think Leo wore a TAG in the film.

Probably a contractual issue. DeCaprio used to do ads for TAG Heuer.

5 Great Movie Rolex Watches That Didn’t Make it Into the Brand’s Oscars Commercial -

Were all of the films used in the Rolex ad connected in some way to the Oscars? That is, nominated or won in any category? Faye Dunaway won Best Actress for "Network" and appears in that ad. So, I wonder if the other films had some Academy Award nomination or win.

As for iconic scenes in movies featuring Rolex, Sean Connery's use of the Submariner in the pre-title sequence of "Goldfinger"--particularly checking the time by cigarette lighter in a cabaret after planting explosives at a bad guy's heroin supply somewhere in the Caribbean--has to take the cake.

Yeah in the book Patrick Bateman tells one of the hookers "Don't touch the Rolex." Apparently Rolex didn't like this and made them change it to "Don't touch the watch" in the movie
