DJ2 116300 vs ND SubC 114060 ultimate daily wearer?!

Hello TRF!!

I am looking to add a 2nd Rolex to my collection. Currently own a Pepsi GMT. It is my first Rolex, I LOVE it, however I only wear it on occasion about 2-3x per month. I really want a Rolex daily wearer. For the most part I wear casual or smart casual attire. I attached some wrist shots of the watches in question and would love to hear your opinions. Thanks in advance!

Jon

I wear my SubC on a daily basis. It's a great everyday watch. You won't go wrong with either watch.

For daily wear, I'd prefer a date. Therefore, of the two pictured, I'd say DJ2. However, I would recommend 116610LN over both.

If you prefer DJ, I love the new DJ41 (similar to the pictured version)

I wear a 114060 as my daily and I love it. It's the perfect watch (IMO of course)

Both are great choices though and you can't go wrong with either. I agree with Brny11 about maybe waiting for the DJ 41 mm black dial if you do end up wanting a DJ. The proportions on it are awesome

For daily wear, a date is a must for me so I vote for the DJ.

If you wear the GMT only a couple of times a month, I don't see how the Sub will be a daily watch for you. So, the DJII.

I am bias towards the ND, but I do own a DJII. As a daily, the ND.
I love my DJII, but can't use it as a daily, it'll get beat up easily.

Easy for me, as I need a date for daily wearer.

Having said that, why don't you wear your GMT daily? Its the perfect daily wearer; then add the Sub and you have a great pair.

I have owned mutiple DJ II's and Submariner-C 's. I think the Sub wins hands down. It might not be more sturdy than a DJ but it fells like it on the wrist. As far as the date goes once I know the date I do not need to be told again. And if I know what the date was yesterday then I know what it is today.

114060 sounds like a perfect watch for you.

Because the GMT and Sub aren't "THAT" different, so, if you're not wearing one, I would think you wouldn't start wearing the other every day. Just my opinion.

Traded my 114060 in on a DJII and haven't looked back for the past two years. On the wrist the Sub C felt awkward to me. I did look forward however eventually adding a fluted bezel to the DJII.

114060.

On another note, old style Pepsi vs. 114060 = entirely different watches to me.
