Hello newbie question

looking into buying my first day date with fluted crown and white face with roman numerals. Been an admirer of the line since I was a kid in the 80's. Interested in somewhat newer double quick set and bracelet that has solid gold links for increased durability. Just not sure what is the model number and the years produced. Also, other than ebay which seems overpriced to me, where does one go to find a preowned that is reasonable. Thanks for the help.

Check the classifieds section here on the forum and go with a trusted seller

Look in the Rolex classified here. Lots of trusted sellers. Takuya, David SW, Sohais, and on and on. You'll get a great piece & a great deal. With your description you are looking for a 6- digit model number, but can't think of the number now.

Avoid eBay... though several trusted sellers sell there contacting them directly through here is much better.

^^^^^ agree! The trusted sellers here are a great resource. I just picked up a DD 40 from a TRF seller.
