Need help identifying genuine or aftermarket 16710 insert

Hey guys, I recently bought a 16710 with a few extra inserts. Yep I know are genuine (Pepsi and Black) but it also came with a Coke that the seller wasn't sure if. He said it came with the watch when he bought it. He sold it to me as aftermarket to err on the side of caution.

I'd like to toy around with some artificial aging, but first want to confirm it's not genuine. I'd hate to ruin a real insert. I'm leaning toward aftermarket, but it doesn't have the "hook 2" to it, at least not the type that extends past the base.

Check it out and give me your feedback. Thanks guys!

I've attached 3 pics. Two of the bezel in question, and one of my watch with an aftermarket Blueberry bezel that I bleached. I liked the outcome, so If this Coke is truly aftermarket, id like to try with it.

Thanks! It turned out much better than expected. I wanna give it a shot with the Coke, provided it's actually aftermarket.

What makes ya lean toward aftermarket? The tops of the 2's don't hook, but they also don't look quite right. Same with the 4's.

The bottom of 22 doesn't look quite right to me. Love the blueberry, where did that come from? All the ones I see have the hooked 2s.

Just from eBay. I don't see the same one right now though.

Numerals are all over the place. 6 doesnt have gap between top of font and bezel edge but other markers are centered.

Crap, almost forgot! Here ya go. It appears that authentic inserts have 3 bezels on the back, while most aftermarket have two. Is that accurate?

Edit: I re-read your post and now see that acrylic bezels normally have two bevels or rings....so my statement above is incorrect.

Boss, so, if you visited my thread on GMT bezel inserts you would observe the back of your "coke" insert is definitely incorrect for a sapphire crystal GMT. It closely resembles an acrylic insert. Acrylic inserts never came in the black/red combination therefore it is a fake insert.

You're the man! I actually read all of those things, I just didn't put it all together like you just did. 😄

Thanks bud!
