Another Tip In How To Spot A fake

Wind-back test: Most Rolexes with date functions will "wind back" the date at around 6:00pm if the hands are run couterclockwise around the dial, on the Explorer II is around 9:00pm.

My Rolexes seem to differ on when the date turns back. I tried this with my SD yesterday, and it was around 8:30 PM...

What is best a custom Rolex or a Rolex that is stuck in custom?

Buy a professional camera and you´re a professional
photographer, buy a flute and you own a flute.

It won't hurt the watch to do this, but a better test IMO is to set the watch a few minutes before midnight and watch the date "snap" into place. Though removing the caseback is always your best option.
