Vintage GMT Pepsi on Auction

I found this GMT on an internet auction with an initial bid of US$ 4000. Considering that the watch is original, what do you think of it and the price?

I asked the auctioner for more pics and information about box and papers. Let's wait.

Tough to tell from the one photo you posted, but a common tell for fake inserts is a hooked 2 or a 2 where the top part extends out over the middle part. That is what the previous poster is referring to. This one needs some more photos to tell for certain I think.

That is a tough call for this watch based on one poor quality photo. By the way, the insert appears to be a genuine vintage insert correct for the watch.

As others noted, the insert is fine. Here's a fake insert with the aforementioned hooked 2s. Very common fake. Boo!
