Rolex clasp code

need some advice on this- can a late U series (serial no. U87xxxx) Rolex Daytona be fitted with a bracelet that has a clasp with the code X2.
From online data, late U series would probably date the watch to late 1998 whereas the clasp code X2 would date it to Feb 1999.

So is it possible that such configuration be original? TIA

Yes it could be possible, do you know when the watch was sold??

Thanks. Watch was sold in June 1999. Was purportedly a 1 owner's watch with paper & all the accessories.
