Question on Straps

Pardon me this is not really a Rolex related question.

Bought a after-market Louisiana aligator skin replacement strap for my JLC Reverso today purely based on visual appeal.

Can someone kindly enlighten me on the strengths and weaknesses of the above vs normal aligator skin vs leather straps?

And also ranking of the cost of the material itself for the above three from most expensive to the cheapest.
