44mm ROO advice
Please be easy as I'm not a ROO owner (yet) but have a few Q's
1: With the rubber strap and ceramic bezel taking out the most prone areas to scratch, how bad is the case at picking up marks given its size? 2: What colour rubber straps are available for the 44mm, I've seen blue, black, white and grey. Due to this I'm assuming the bright colours are just for the 42mm's as the strap is from the divers?! 3: What strap changing tool do you use, I've seen a few use the genuine AP one but been unable to find any, the other is the one offered by AP bands 4: With strap changes is it best to remove the strap from the plots or remove the strap with the plots in place (I've seen some straps sold with plots fitted) 5: How easy are buckle changing and cost depending would it be easier to buy a couple of extra tang buckles and leave them on each strap? Think thats it for now |

First, the 44 is my favourite AP. The 44 is a big watch and from my own experience it takes a bit of getting used to. The colour options you've listed are the only ones I know of. To change the strap you just need 2 screwdrivers, I remove mine without the plots. I also use a pair of tweezers to remove the small end of the screw bar. The buckle is just on a spring bar and I use the screw driver for this again. Changing straps is easy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

This is what APNA sent me on short strap options for the 44.
I'm assuming theu mirror the standard lenght strap options.

I've had my RG 44 for 9 months now and not one mark on the case, it's pretty well protected between the bezel and strap, so you should have no worries there. I had a difficult experience changing straps using the two screwdrivers, altho I was inexperienced back then, so I am not keen to do it and rather let the AP AD or SC do it but if you are going to be a regular changer then you might as well learn with the proper kit.

It's the strap that comes on the GP model. Google pics are below, red on the sides is the most popular.

Wish they did the GP strap with blue Alcantara on the sides and top/stripes. Think it would look awesome on the Pt 44mm.

I too wonder what the best options for straps are on the new RG44. Probably leather with yellow stitch and GP black.. what do you guys think?
