Saw the Bone down at a FT Lauderdale airshow a few years back. Very impressive to watch that big and airplane perform. Big & Noisy always worked for me.

Never served myself but have family members that have and cannot express enough gratitude for everyone that has. I'm the son of Cuban immigrants and my family is extremely grateful for the incredible opportunity and freedom afforded in the USA and we don't forget it a single day of our lives.

I served 27 years and 6 months in the Air Force (Aug 77 - Feb 05). Started my career as a crypto radio operator stationed in Alaska. Cross trained into Loadmaster career field and flew on C-141s for 20 years. Finished my career as the Commandant of the Hickam NCO Academy in 2004. Now I'm an Air Force civil servant working at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam.

Basic training in Aug 1977


Flew on the C-141 Starlifter (A/B/C models) for 20 years and 4157 hours


The business end of the jet where I handled the cargo and weight and balance



We also airdropped troops and cargo

My last day of work in Sep 2004

USMA '04 and then 8 years active duty as an Armor officer. One deployment to Iraq as a platoon leader and then two to Afghanistan as a staff officer and TRP commander.
