How do YOU clean your Rolex?

Regardless of the model and age (for the most part) of your Rolex,

a) do you clean your Rolex?

b) if you do, how? Do you run it under sink when washing hands? Put it an ultrasonic?

Thus far, in my limited collection, I rarely clean. But when I do: 1) ensure the crown s tightly screwed to the case before beginning, 2) medium bowl into which I mix ammonia-free soap with lukewarm water. 3) Use hands to apply the soapy water to watch. 4) Clean all surfaces by gently "scrubbing" (not literally hard) with a microfiber cloth or very very soft toothbrush, 5) pat dry/air dry.

What do you do?

I was just outside weeding I had my expII on so when I came in I washed my hands in warm water and soap and lathered up the watch dried it with a hand towel and its good to go

Once a month, using Dawn to make a bowl of warm sudsy water plus an old toothbrush and a clean, soft cotton, cloth/t-shirt.

After checking that the crown(s) are fully screwed down let your watch(es) soak in the suds for 10-15 minutes. Lightly scrub all surfaces with the toothbrush, especially the bracelets, getting in between all links then dry with the soft cloth...

Warm water running and I use a toothbrush and Dawn. Towel dry.

Only wash if I've been sweaty. Check crown, rinse, and use hand soap to clean all over. Rinse again and pat dry with microfiber towel and then air dry.

It's important to remove surface particles, otherwise if you wipe your watch without cleaning you drag those particles across the surface creating micro scratches.

I just open the clasp while washing my hands with regular liquid soap and get underneath and around everything - then rinse thoroughly. If it doesn't aactually come off your wrist, there's no danger of dropping it into the sink or worse onto the hard floor.

Rinse it off in the sink every month or so. I don't sweat much.

x2 Also ensure cloth is free of dirt, grit etc.. I don't even dry mine. Straight on the wrist wet, or drip dry crown up until I'm going out. The watch being the last thing I put on and first thing I take off. Keep em minty.

Use a toothbrush with hand soup and warm water. Us a blowdryer to dry it to get into those small spots in the bracelet.

How do you get the space between the bezel and lugs/bracelet? Mine accumulate small amounts of dirt/dust there.

I wear mine in the shower with the easylink extended, naturally gets soapy water and rinsed that way. Working well so far (about a month in.)

Pressure washer on the driveway once a week. I make sure to spray plenty of engine degreaser on first. Then a quick dunk in some acetone for good measure.

Toothbrush, warm water, and hand soap (foamy kind). Once a year I'll disassemble the bracelet and ultrasonic clean it (not the cases movement).

Bowl of warm water. Dawn dish soap. Soft toothbrush. Put watch in water for a few minutes, brushing the jubilee bracelet lightly enough to shake out any grit and grime, lightly brushing the caseback. For the crystal, it's a wet cotton washcloth and a clean, new one to dry. Afterward, the 18K pops brightly against the stainless steel.

Of course, always make sure the crown is secure.

I do a lot of the "wiping it on my shirt" as well :)

Bit of blue Dawn, warm water and either a soft toothbrush or small baby wash cloth. Blot dry with a soft bathroom hand towel or bath towel. I usually wash my watch everyday in the evening before it gets put to bed into the Wolf winder. In the hot summertime, I will usually wash it a couple times a day. Dirt and grime and body sweat is the biggest enemy of your bracelet as it is abrasive to the links and link pins. Keep it clean and it will last for decades.

I work at an AD so I occasionally dunk the bracelet into our ultrasonic cleaner then rinse the watch under tap water. Wipe down with a soft cloth.

I wear mine fishing and if I get it really dirty I use a soft toothbrush and mild hand soap to scrub the case and bracelet.
