Novelty 44, which one
Which is your personal favourite? Carbon fibre, steel, Rose gold?
Im wanting one as an everyday watch and am drawn to how light the Carbon is... I can imagine its extremely comfortable. Just wanting some opinions.

You really can't go wrong with any of the 44s.

There are also discontinued models which are not "novelties" despite the nickname that has stuck. Those are RG, Steel, CF, Ceramic (a few different dial options) and I'm sure I'm missing a couple as well. The platinum is there too, not sure if that is discontinued or not Personally I like the new RG but most here will lean toward the older model RG, its the forum's favorite. The new titanium is awesome too. FC has been discontinued for awhile so I'm guessing the AD stock is gone and you would have to go the pre owned route. |

I have tried them all on and frankly I like them all. This one is super light and also reasonably priced!

Of the actual 2017 Novelties, Ti.

First--GREAT choice in AP!
Owned all of the 'old versions'...some 2-3 times (it's that good a design). I loved all of them but the RG and ceramic stood out for me. In the newer editions the Ti stands out to me. You cannot go wrong...look forward to your incoming! |

This watch is so comfortable! Right up there with the ceramic diver in my book. I honestly can't imagine a watch of this size being more comfortable that doesn't have Mille on the dial |

My favorite of the new releases is the ceramic. My all time is either the old RG or the platty. Either way, they are all amazing and you can't go wrong.

I can also say there is not one 44 that i would not have or wear if i could get them all. Some don't photograph well, but every single one i have seen in person I love.
Since we can't have them all, we have favorites of course, but what sometimes gets lost in the this one or that one discussion is they are all superb. Choosing one over another is in no way a knock on the ones we don't end up with. |

I won't talk about the pros of each, there are too many, but the disadvantages, FC I would be wearing to the gym and daily wear, worried if I damage the carbon it can't be polished out and will remain damaged or a hefty bill from AP Ro again I would be wearing daily, is it a very heavy watch? I have quite small wrists you see. Thanks

The FC is prone to damage especially on the corners wearing down from what i have heard. The RG is damage prone too as its softer than steel. Wearing carefully, neither are an issue. Personally no matter the material, i would not wear a 44 to the gym. But I'm sure some do without issue . |

For every day use/ wearing in all situations my opinion on materials are as follows ceramic. light but more brittle Platinum. heavy/softer material gold. heavy/softer material FC. light but the edges can wear down Steel. good every day/all around choice titanium good every day/all around choice |
