Rose gold 15400 on rubber? Or go for YM Rolex?
Seen a few pics of the rose gold 15400 on rubber. Is this an option offered by AP or after market? Anyone have any expierncd with this combo?
Looking to downsize the collection a bit and sell off a few grand seikos I have to fund either of these: |

For those of you who voiced an opinion, curios as to your thoughts behind it.

The reason for wanting maybe something on rubber is that this would likely be worn semi casual and so black croc strap might limit that

very different watches! The YM has much more of a tool function and look. With my collection, I'd love to add the RG YM. Not that I don't love that AP, I just don't think it would get much wrist time based on my lifestyle.

I would go for the AP but I do like the YM. The AP is more dressy and refined, altho I like the rubber more than the leather, in general it is just more versatile and less smelly.

to me , the YM in RG is a 'confused' watch - is it sports watch (which it is, those chunky numbers on the bezel are not discreet, not to mention it's black), or is it trying to to be elegant (which is what what the RG is characterized to be)?
i don't like the fact that the rubber strap on the YM is not integrated...don't like the open spacing at the lugs. also, the surface area and chunkiness of its deployant is going to be a scratch magnet. here, the strap is seemingly an 'accessory'...vs the integrated strap of the AP is seamless part of the entire watch. the AP is far more beautiful and versatile: altho i much prefer the elegance of it matched with the gator, if u wanted it to be a bit of sporty then the rubber strap can do that for u. it can go with tshirt and shorts with the rubber...and switch up that evening with the gator strap and a formal suit. lastly, if one is choosing to go gold, i assume u want the gold to be seen/noticed. and it's certainly more beautifully pronounced on the AP with full case and bezel in the precious metal. vs the gold seems more like an add-on on the YM, sort of taking backseat to that huge black bezel and the overt lumes on hands and indices. |

15400
When I saw both in person, the 15400OR was simply gorgeous. One very real consideration: how does the rose gold look against your skin tone. For me, the AP was perfect. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Thanks everyone very helpful so far. Does anyone know what's involved on getting the rubber strap for when/if I were to wear the 15400 more casual?
I should also add I currently have a 15400ST On bracelet in the collection with a silver face as well as a SubC To me I don't think the RG 15400 would feel duplicative; one a strap it's quite a different watch and as much as I've contemplated selling the 15400ST as well to the go for the full gold 15400, I think that might be just a bit too much bling. Although incedibly beautiful none the less. |

Get the AP, they really kick butt with the PM on straps. Just an amazing look. You will love it.

I'd be tempted to keep the LE high beat but yeah if they must go, they must go.
All gold is your call. Very different look and price. I will say bracelet is nearly always preferred on RO. |
