Lume Pic of New GMT2?

How's the lume on the new GMT2's? I have a P-serial Pepsi from 2000 and the lume is short-lived on the face, almost nonexistent on the hands. I may step up to a new model and slap a Pepsi bezel on it. Kind of a bastardized Pepsi, but that's ok with me for daily wear. I'm not going to spring for a new WG Pepsi, and I'll keep my original Pepsi, but for daily use I may go the make-your-own route.

IMHO the lume lasts just fine, all night long. It's not like on the picture throughout but still, time remains legible in the dark so the lume serves its purpose alright.

This is my experience as well. I am not sure how you will be able to put a Pepsi bezel on a ceramic model though.

You could source a BLRO bezel and slap it on a GMT Ln... call it a traffic light (red, blue, green)

I heard that it will not fit but don't know for sure. Sourcing one would be quite expensive and very hard to find.

how long would you say it last then ? I bought a 2005 GMTII recently and unless the dial was serviced ( which Rolex doesn't have trace off) I must be lucky as the lumens are still very strong. Just curious

Give up already trying to source a BLRO ceramic bezel to fit on an LN or BLNR.

Rumour has it they are keyed differently even if you sourced one it won't fit a SS case and you'd have to change the GMT hand to red as well.

Is your P series GMT a tritium dial? That would explain no illumination by now.

A new 16710 service dial is currently running at £550 and approx £180 for the handset. I just had one of mine done at RSC.

And the best lume on any Rolex right now is whats on the Explorer 2. It glows like a torch all night long. Even puts the ceramic GMT to shame in that regard.

SL lume on the five digit GMT2 isn't great. In fact, it's not even good. The only five digit I have with decent lume is the LV with its maxi dial and hands. It's still no seiko Tuna though.

The lume on the GMT is nice, but not close to how bright and long the lume on the Pelagos last.

Search back for an older post of mine where I broke my BLRO bezel. It cost I think $1200 and 3-4 months at the Rolex service center.

I'm not a big lume guy, but if you are, Rolex may not be the brand for you. It lasts long enough and is legible, but far from the leader of the pack in this category

Same experience here; also have both the GMT-c and Pelagos (blue). Lume on the Pelegos seems thicker applied and therefore much better/longer lumination.

I checked the lume on mine when I went to a two-hour movie at the theater and it lasted nearly the whole time.
