First Rolex!
Super excited to get the call after 14 months of being on the waitlist! Was convinced I didn't have a chance since I had no pre-existing relationship with an AD and this was my first Rolex, (and several AD's actually told me that on the phone, lol).
It wasn't the white one I originally wanted, but I'm falling in love with the black. I had to drive 4 hours each way to the AD, since it was in a city I lived in last year before moving. But it was totally worth it! I got it for MSRP with NO TAX  Thinking about picking up an alternate band so that I can wear it everyday without being paranoid about scratches. If you don't intend to flip (sounds like you intend to keep it), don't be "paranoid" about scratches. It's good steel and will look more natural if simply worn.
