Online buying

Hi all,
I have recently decided that I would like to purchase a Rolex. I do not really want to pay the full brand new price, so I have decided buying a used one is the best idea for me. I was wondering where online I should look.
Thanks

There are many reputable sellers here on the forum - many, many more than the two listed here.

If you find a watch you like from a particular seller here, take some time and check their references from previous sales which can be found as feedback in the Who's Who Section of the Classifieds.

eBay

If you do it right this is a safe route. Buy from a seller with excellent feedback in your country, PayPal or credit card only and unconditional return privilege. Then have the watch checked out by an independent shop or the brand's service center. It hasn't failed me yet!

As stated before, lots of trusted sellers here,on the forum, for peace of mind for a first purchase stick with one of those. Keep reading the posts and you will soon learn a lot about the pitfalls of buying watches from other sources and how to avoid them, which will stand you in good shape for when you buy your second! Good luck.

That said... if you have trouble telling the difference between a real watch and a fake, or you are unfamiliar with the many scams out there in the second hand Rolex market you could be exposing yourself to risk.

I recommend you invest some time in research on how to recognise a fake or modified watch and also how scams work.

I agree HOWEVER CHECK ...I today was offered by AD a new Sea-dweller (44mm) for less that offered by seller here. So , as always ... do your home work.
