bad polish job for sure, but I am inclined to think its authentic, more pics of clasp, close up of dial would be nice

Ouch. Why do people insist on polishing the crap out of stuff. When I service watches I usually don't even touch the top of the lugs if they aren't that bad and if they are nice and sharp. A little wear with sharp edges, beats a perfect finish and smoothed edges any day! These are the people that can't "feel" the metal coming off the piece they're polishing!! Seen it plenty of times!
