Negative Experience - Too soon to post about?
Hey Guys,
New to The Rolex Forums but extensive post/seller history over on WUS. Looking to the forum for advice on a recent Rolex purchase I made. Seller advertised the watch as in Excellent condition with little noticeable wear. Very communicative during the entire process, Email + Text. Shipped the watch overnight, I received it Saturday Morning. I opened the box to find a watch that was in much worse condition then what was advertised. The pictures did not come close to showing the true condition. Putting it lightly the watch is in pretty poor shape, looks like it was worn as a daily beater for several years. Within ten minutes of opening the package I was emailing the seller for a refund, it was that bad. Since I received the watch Saturday I have tried reaching out across multiple platforms to NO response at all. Things to note: Seller has a lot of posts on this forum, and seems like a dedicated member. I payed via Friends and Family. I'm still holding out hope that maybe they are on vacation or somewhere without internet access, but I am growing increasingly concerned that I have not received any response yet regarding this issue. As a seller, I will always at least check once the buyer has received the watch to make sure everything is kosher. He's gone completely dark since he shipped the watch. I'm looking for feedback, is it too soon to post the details of the transaction? I can post all pictures from his original thread + updated pictures of what the watch actually looks like. |

I really hope everything works out for you but to be honest, with no buyer protection and the lack of response from the seller it's not looking good.
Good luck

Pictures from the ad post and what you got would be a good start. If you used friends and family I would assume you will have no recourse via PayPal. I would hope the seller surfaces and you can work the situation out.

Thats why I always pay the extra Paypal fees so that I am eligible for buyer protection

If here, then yes, as Adam says. If not, I'd wait for WUS replies.

Omg that's so awful, sorry to hear it hope it all works out for you and you get your money back
Are you not covered under any "distance selling regulations" or if it's from overseas the UN sales of goods legislation if it's based on false advertising and they haven't provided what they offered at the point of sale Credit card companies will cover you under section 75 of consumer credit act Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Wow what a supportive bunch you all are! Thank you all for the kind words and support.
To clarify....the transaction took place on these forums, I was just stating that I do a lot of business on WUS under the same username in case anyone was questioning the validity of my claim. I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and hold off until tomorrow afternoon, he has 3k+ posts on this site so paying friends and family was of no concern at the time. Hindsight is always 20/20. |
